- Ph.D. in Earth Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science with experience in X-ray diffraction/ spectroscopy from reputed institutes with a good publication record. Candidates

- The candidate will be required to synthesize and characterize silicate (or its analogs) perovskites and olivines. The = samples would then be compressed in a diamond anvil cell and studied using in situ x-ray diffraction and/or spectroscopic techniques at different synchrotron facilities to understand high-pressure phase transitions. The candidate is expected to be able to work independently and mentor Ph.D. students.
